This is a wonderful story that personified Frank's kindness,a personal side of his that we don't often see.Being Italian,Frank was I'm sure very food-oriented, so wanting to get something from the Deli(after it was closed)sounds typical of his Italianness.I wonder what Frank's diet was like;I saw him cook spaghetti on Dinah's Place in early 70's & use food lyrics in his singing(the girl that I marry..."& smell of(cologne)provolone")with Dean on Judy Garland special.He probably meant the sharp provolone.

To some uninitiates Frank would seem pompous,to Sinatraphiles he would command the stage,& could do no wrong as Chairman of the Board.He was the King while performing live, not Elvis.

Best concert was at ChicagoFest, June '82 -- this was the same concert as Concert for the America's, that he did a couple of months later -- best of all the times I've seen him.

When I was a young boy, their was alot of talk in the home about Frank. I was about 9 when I realized how special it would be to know about this relation. But it wasn't until I started doing a geneology search that, someone contacted a relative and said we were related to Frank. I have pictures of the cousin who was married to Franks niece and his parents. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this fantastic news.

my grandmother saw Sinatra in Chicago during the 50's. She was on her honeymoon and she never even told me this story until I was in my 20's. I was listening to Sinatra on my iPod and she could not believe that I even knew who he was. She proceeded to tell me the story of her first encounter with seeing Sinatra on stage. It was one of the best times in her life. She will never forget it. I just wish I could have had that experience.

I wish I was able to be at the Main Event but I was on the road in Montreal. I did however see him at the Trilogy promo concert where he introduced New York New York.
