Synopsis

In the suspenseful 1965 war saga NONE BUT THE BRAVE, the action takes place on a remote island in the Pacific where the atoll is held by a Japanese platoon that’s been cut off from its command. When a crippled C-47 transport plane crash lands there, World War II suddenly becomes smaller – but no less deadly – for the Marines aboard. After initial conflict, the Japanese leader (Tatsuya Mihashi) offers to swap the Americans water in exchange for the aid of Pharmacist Mate Maloney – played by Sinatra – who he mistakenly believes is a doctor. When Maloney steps in to save the life of a Japanese soldier by amputating his leg, a fragile peace is forged. But can it last?
