Own a wonderful piece of Sinatra history with a rare collectible giclee of Sinatra and his daughters. Each highly -collectible, hand-signed and hand-numbered giclee, is presented, hand-bound in a rich archival folio debossed with the Sinatra fedora logo, along with a certificate of authenticity.
This beautiful and touching image captures Sinatra in a loving embrace with daughters Tina and Nancy at his 50th birthday celebration on December 12th, 1965. Family and friends had gathered at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, where one notable absence was Sammy Davis Jr. Frank Sinatra thought Sammy was on the road and would not be able to attend, so when a cake was rolled in and Sammy popped out if it, it was quite a surprise! All of Hollywood show biz and most of New York was there to enjoy the moment.
Only 275 of these hand-numbered giclees have been printed and only 25 of them have been signed. Each limited edition fine art giclee is printed on 100% acid-free Somerset rag paper with hand-torn deckled edges. In addition to the signatures, it is hand-titled and features an embossed seal of authenticity from Frank Sinatra Enterprises. A separate certificate of authenticity will accompany your signed giclee. Raw size is approximately 15.75" x 11.87" (exact dimensions may vary slightly due to the hand-torn deckled edges).
What is a giclee? A giclee is produced by spraying a fine stream of ink
- four million droplets per second - onto archival museum-quality rag paper. The effect is similar to an airbrush technique, but much finer.
Each piece of paper is carefully hand-mounted onto a special rotating printing drum. Exact calculations of hue, value and density direct the ink of four precision nozzles. This produces a combination of 512 chromatic changes (with over seven million possible colors) of highly saturated, non-toxic water-based ink. Each print receives the artist's color approval for final custom setting.
