I was there @ the Garden on March 8,1971 to see the 1st Ali-Frazier fight. I wish I had told that to Smokin' Joe when I saw him in front of his gym on Broad St. in Philly. We were in the last row of the Mezzanine but could still see Burt Lancaster next to Sinatra @ ringside. Frank was busy with the camera taking pictures for Life magazine, which weren't bad. I remember the ring announcer saying "We're not going to introduce anybody , because everyone is here tonight." A lot of those people @ the Ali-Frazier fight (Robert Redford, Walter Kronkite) were also @ Frank's Main Event @ the Garden a few years later.
