I remember the first Man & His Music special around 1965 with Frank singing the Vincent Youmans classic "Without A Song", with a special effects high pile of sheet music & the red 'Without A Song" title sheet on top.I used to sing "Without A Song" for choir auditions, & I used the same style,red "Without A Song" sheet music as used in the special. But the first sheet music I ever bought was @ the Elkin-Vogel sheet music store in Center City Philly that was used by the Philadelphia Orchestra, was Jerome Kern's "the Song Is You" & "Yesterdays".No longer does the store exist but in the 60's I felt like a kid in a candy store with all the sheet music selections. Naturally I learned Kern songs like these from Frank's albums,e.g., "Sinatra & Strings."
